Rules on the homepage
The rendered how-to list says: 7 prompts a day, same for everyone.
It says you have 25 seconds to name one thing. Guide sites that say 15 or 20 seconds are not this homepage text.
It says rare answers score big and obvious ones float.
It says the pick that feels clever is one the school thought of too.
It says every point sinks you 10 metres, 700 is the trench, and you get one dive per day with no second chances.
The client constants set 7 rounds per day and a maximum day score of 700.
What counts as an answer
The FAQ says answer sets are aggregated from datasets such as dictionaries, wiki pages, and encyclopedias, then merged and cleaned.
The FAQ says some prompts are scored against a familiarity database, and others use a combination of LLM assistance and a manual pass.
The FAQ says a missing fair answer is usually a source the developer did not find.
The FAQ says autocorrect also checks aliases, so being a letter or two off an alias can submit a different accepted name. Its example is the alias “sea donkey” on Threebanded Sheephead, one letter from “sea monkey.”
